April 2005 News Letter

Whoops, got the website address wrong last month, hopefully the one above will work. You will need a password to access the Newsletter page. It will normally be your sons first name, first letter of surname followed by his date of birth. This page contains access to news letters and other documents you may find useful. If you have problems accessing the page, please use the contact button or call me so we can sort it out. I hope you find the site useful, if you have any suggestions that will improve it, please let me know.

A new stock of Activity Pole / Sweat shirts has arrived at last. We have all sizes of both ranging from 32 –40.

All activities we do must be done in uniform for insurance purposes .The activity tops can be worn in place of normal uniform for meetings at Willesley and any other activity away from the hut, apart from Parades.

The activity tops can be ordered from any Scout leader.

Due to circumstance beyond our control, the date for summer camp has changed. We have had to move it back to the 20^th August

15^th – 17^th April Dovedale – Backpacking Week end.

This is a lightweight camping weekend where the Scouts will work in teams, hiking and carrying all they need for the weekend. The younger Scouts have the option of just doing the hike. Please complete and return the form below if your son wishes to take part.

10^th May and 24^th May Canoes in the Canal.

These sessions are based at Donisthorpe Minors Welfare. They have moved here from Moira in order that we can make use of the showers and changing facilities.

The fee for these district run courses is £3 per session. Places are limited due to the number of canoes available. Please complete the form below if your son wishes to take part.

24^th – 26^th June District Canoe Camp.

20^{th -} 27^th August Summer Camp, Dorset, estimated cost £100.
