About 4th Ashby

Our Group

Welcome to 4th Ashby de la Zouch Scout Group! We offer Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts to young people in Ashby de la Zouch and the surrounding villages of Leicestershire — including Donisthorpe, Moira, Blackfordby, Packington, Normanton le Heath, Heather, Osgathorpe, Coleorton, and more.

Everyone is welcome here. All genders, races, backgrounds, and abilities. If your child has any physical needs, don’t worry — there’s a Scout adventure waiting for them, and we’ll help them find it.

We’re part of the worldwide Scouting movement, building stronger communities and inspiring bright futures.

Every week, over 175 young people enjoy meetings full of fun, games, and new skills. We also camp a lot and run exciting activities including canoeing, kayaking, climbing, abseiling, potholing, orienteering, and shooting — plus plenty more!

We’ve recently grown, so we can now welcome even more young people than ever. Ready to join the adventure? Get in touch today to register your interest!

Our leaders are all volunteers, and we rely on them (and our brilliant parents) to make everything happen. It’s not a chore — it’s enormous fun and incredibly rewarding.

4th Ashby Scout Group is a registered charity (No 1125053). Founded in 1976 as the 4th Ashby (Baptist) Scout Group, we later moved to the Methodist Chapel before joining forces with Ashby Hastings Scout Group in 2001. Since 2021 we’ve been based at Donisthorpe Scout Centre, Church Street, Donisthorpe, DE12 7PX. We also regularly use the lovely Willesley Scout Campsite.
