Jon joined Cubs in September 1983 and has not looked back!
He was a Cub and Scout before being a young leader and then taking over the troop aged 18. He ran Cubs from 1997 - 2001 too, before stepping away from his group. He then ran Scouts at Market Bosworth. After a brief hiatus, he became ASL then GSL at 4th Ashby.
Jon has held hillwalking, shooting, rock climbing, abseiling and zip wire permits although currently he just has the last three!
He has led expeditions in England, Wales, Scotland and Canada and taken Scouts camping more than 250 nights away.
Away from the group, Jon is a husband and father of four and works in software by day.
