You may be aware that a few of the Waingunga leaders are passionate about winter sports. We believe the experience of taking part in a winter sport can offer young people so many benefits and can really help a young person to grow in confidence as they face challenges. It is also an adventurous activity which is linked to badge work and has its own stand alone badge.
We have arranged the meeting on the 7th December to take place at Swadlincote Ski Centre where the Cubs will take part in a one hour ski lesson.
We would arrive at 6pm to get kitted out in boots and skis and prepare for the lesson. The lesson would start at 6:30pm.
Ski equipment hire is included in the cost. Cubs would need to wear long clothing and gloves. Swadlincote Ski Centre is an outdoor facility. We really hope that all Cubs will attend and we can share our passion with them. We have tried to keep the cost (£5.50) as low as possible, if you have any concerns over this please speak...
